Salaam Venky is his next release after Mardaani 2 (2019) and is one of the best OTT films featuring Vishal Jethwa. The story revolves around Venkatesh (Vishal Jethwa) who is diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, he is supposed to die at the age of 16. But he is alive because of his determination which astonishes medical science.

The story is adapted from the book The Last Hurrah which is written by Shrikant Murthy and the screenplay and dialogues are written by Kausar Munir and Sammeer Arora.
The story is undoubtedly familiar to a young boy on his last breath, you may feel depressed but relevant because when you read about someone suffering in the hospital and counting his/her last breath.
A young boy who should have died earlier at the age of 16 but he was still alive because of his willpower which surprised the whole medical science. This is applicable because if you heard the news or read books about these types of cases you are familiar.
His mother is sad because his son will die soon which is also pertinent in real life too where every parent is sad. She could do anything to fulfill his son’s last wish of donating his working organs and wants euthanasia which is not permitted in a country like India. She applied for a court case.
The performances of the actors are notable and significant, especially in this Vishal Jethwa latest movie, Amir Khan has also given a special appearance mainly with Kajol after Fanaa (2006).
